Magnefy is a Stanford spin-out pioneering an edge AI-powered, high-frequency magnetic sensing platform for real-time predictive maintenance of critical power assets like transformers, switchgear, and generators. Our $500 non-invasive IoT solution captures 250× more low-noise, high-frequency data—accurately detecting failures like partial discharge and higher harmonics weeks to months in advance, at one-tenth the cost of legacy systems. We help mission-critical facilities—data centers, IPPs, utilities, and manufacturers—avoid outages, boost reliability, and maximize power efficiency.
Founded in 2025 as a Stanford spinout, Magnefy is tackling the urgent challenge of electrical asset reliability in mission-critical facilities and grid-scale utilities. Built on years of research in Professor Debbie Senesky’s lab, we combine breakthrough high-frequency magnetic sensing with AI-powered analytics to enable real-time predictive maintenance—starting with transformers.
Our vision is to make real-time predictive maintenance the standard for critical power infrastructure—enhancing reliability, reducing downtime, and accelerating the transition to a resilient, decarbonized energy future.
Our technology helps prevent grid failures that can lead to outages, wildfires, and costly disruptions—reducing hazardous emissions, protecting public health, and avoiding up to 2.5 million tons of CO₂ emissions annually. By extending asset lifetimes and enabling safer electrification, we advance both climate resilience and energy equity across America.
